Good afternoon, Ladies and Gentlemen. This is Executive Administrator Mark Leneski with a special CALEX Code-a-Phone for Monday, March 17, 2003.
We just received word from the company that it plans to recall an additional 32 furloughed pilots in May. Their recall notices were mailed today.
These recalls are in addition to the 48 furloughed pilots who are scheduled to be recalled in April. As always, these plans are subject to change, especially in view of the situation in Iraq or a continued deterioration in the airline industry.
The Continental MEC is planning to host a welcome back reception for the first recall class April 3. The reception will be 6 to 9 p.m. at MEC headquarters. All returning furloughed pilots, furloughed pilots and active line pilots are invited to attend and celebrate the return of our fellow Union brothers and sisters. Food and beverages will be served.
