Once the determination is made on the how the PIG (preferential interview group) pilots will come over from XJT, hiring should be in step as well. 320 vacancies, 74 CA and 246 FO, with 106 retirements listed between now and 4/1/06. I believe the 320 includes the 84 Schindlers list guys so with 270 or so PIG pilots from XJT, if the ratio holds up there should 200 or so PIG pliots take the job (my guess???), which would leave about 35 to 40 new hires and possibly up to 140+ new hires if you include the retirements.

thnks for the info.

do you have any info on net additional aircraft scheduled for delivery?

Where can most new hires expect to be based/equip?

8 757-300 start coming in July, 6 737-800 start to arrive at the end of this year and start of 06. 787 will supposedly be on property starting late 2008-2009, with 10 of those to be delivered. Most junior bases are EWR and GUM on the 737. You will probably never hold CLE. IAH is next most senior but you will only be able to hold 737 in that base until you have about 10 years senority or are good at base trading. EWR has junior positions on the 737 and even on the 757/767.
