Just to clarify what all of us CAL pilots have said before.
The training center probably finds out the day before class what the available aircraft will be in the next days class.
One thing you can be sure of is that it won't be a MD-80, B727, B747 or Airbus A-300.
If you have a choice, I would take the B737 because it gives you better chances of switching bases and you aren't seat locked.
