Not true, interviews started last week (wed. I think). Keep the faith!
Uhhh off the street interviews or XJT? That is what a bunch of us are trying to figure out. Anyone have any interview gouge yet?
Thanks,

Does anyone know how people are being contacted for interviews? I am assuming it would be by phone, but I know they are trying to use email for alot of things. Thanks.

Phone calls from the online applications have started, with scheduled interviews a week from the phone call.

One pilot that got a call had 3000TT, B1900 Captain, no jet time, and a recommendation letter from senior management. He has a relative who was a CAL pilot that crossed a "no-no" line.

Was in IAH yesterday to take care of DOT, finger printing, etc... Everyone was really nice, everyone I met welcomed me aboard. The Chief Pilots secretary must have spent 30 min with me talking about Guam, Kids, Continental. I felt real welcome there and hands down the whole exprience so far has been great. I'm coming from the UA system and CAL's customer service blows them out of the water. Arrived at O dark 30 to get greated by a CAL rep who came from the other side of the counter to make sure I got checked in. The gate agent's went out of thier way to upgrade me to first. The inflight crews were friendly and went out of thier way to make everyone enjoy thier flight. Everyone in Houston was so friendly I thought something was up. Again I worked under the United system and they treat you like the red headed step child and they treat thier customers equally as bad, so you can imagine my surprise to see how I was treated at CAL. Everyone around me recieved the same kind of treatment so it wasn't just for me. So far I like what I see and I'm happy to be there.

I think we are all waiting to hear when CAL is going to start calling. As far as I know, no-one off of the street has been called for an interview.

They are calling off the street. I know of a few particularly military who have been called and interviewed as recent as this week.
