heard a rumor they were pulling guppys out of the sand box. didn't really believe it but I guess it doesn't matter if this is true.

These aircraft were all delayed due to the seat supplier Koito Industries. CAL just signed a deal with B/E Aerospace to supply and install seats in these aircraft.

They already did because the ac above had no seats.

EDIT: They did take a number of 500s out of storage around April. Not sure how many.

They were pulled out of the desert a few months ago. I believe 6 airframes in total were returned to service.

Yeah, we were supposed to get these airframes months ago. We had an issue with our seat vendor. They will now be receiving these aircraft over the next 5 weeks.

Have any CAL/UPS/UAL/ furloughees applied/been hired with DAL? Might be a great way to leverage a position. If you get hired with DAL, you could sit on a call back from CAL/UAL for 10 years and then decide what you want to do at that time. I imagine there are many folks out there with 2-3 seniority numbers waiting for movement to happen.

thats a great plan as long as we grow a pair and demand pay longevity for furloughs in the next contract.
