Are you UAL? Better not be. Shooting your mouth off when all you've done is lost your butts. Put under and injunction by a Democrat judge? Lost the Aer lingus greivance?!

Most of the reserve Captains I know at CAL absolutely refuse to fly right seat. I know of one incident in the past 2 months where the CP called the Captain at his home and threatened his job. He told the CP to go pound sand.

In the end, a more senior line-holding captain took the trip for time and a half.

I deadheaded up with this instructor. He said he was flying the I/O position, not the F/O position and he said that they cancelled a lot of early month training so the instructors could go out and fly since we are shorthanded. He said he did not pick it up, they assigned it to him.

I don't know about the 150% pay, but I've flown with him before and he is an outstanding Capt. Don't be so quick to judge before you get all the facts.

If the senior guys at WN could figure out a way to do it, Trust me they would!!!

Hope you don't think otherwise!
KBB

they are scared to death of any right seat duties...... They don't even know how to get a clearance and their use of intercom switches is questionable.

Let's see... All the facts? Did you look at the pairing?

Pull up the Pairing.... It's not training... He's flying as the IRO!

Uh, you really aren't getting it. The training referred to here are simulator events scheduled to be in the sim building in Houston. These events are being cancelled so the instructors can go fly the line. The instructors are being assigned pairings

I pulled up the pairing. He was going up to do training, then he was put into the IRO seat. I've flown w/ this guy, he's not an opportunist. He didn't pick up the trip. You can blast whether or not he should have accepted it, but the TIs get the same pressures as RSVs who get their days rolled.

I'm not defending what happened, but you didn't post all the facts of the situation.

Truth be known...there's always another side to the coin!
