This is one of the numerous reasons as to why airline pilots should not wear that silly naval cover around the flightline. IT'S A FOD HAZARD! and this time it cost this dude's life.
 
Well then my statements on the first page of this thread don't apply. Sorry to hear what happened.

Inflamatory, but it also renforces why airlines don't want other people around their jets.
