so the A plan is currently frozen at CAL? are their thoughts that it will re-open to new pilots or continue with B plan only and larger contributions +401k?
 
I don't think it will ever be back. If it does it would have to be negotiated since there are no snap backs. I believe any augmentation in retirement would likely be increased contributions in the b plan. I wouldn't give up 1 cent and hour to get the A plan back given what has happened in the past couple of years. Having more than 20 yrs until I turn 60 I would love to cash out what I have in the A and put it in the B.

as i thought. looks like the B plan contributions aren't too shabby in the future. probably better for all.
