I'm thinking she's butt ass ugly also. I don't know why, I just see her mother as "You're so pretty, you can do ANYTHING, You're so pretty, those people making fun of you are jealous!"

I am just curious. If you never liked them and say how bad it is there. Then why the hell did you ever apply??? duhhhh I don't want the job so I will apply anyways?????

thor2j,

i used to work for pinnacle airlines(one of the worst regionals when it comes to pay and work rules), and some of their work rules are better than ours. It's all about pay and work rules. Hopefully we have the g(N)uts to take it back.

I am not saying any of it is right. I am simply pointing out that this is all that anybody says about CAL. "$30/ an hour and now benefits for 6 months". Yes it sucks, but soemone come up with something original because many majors first year pay sucks.

This isn't a sprint race.

Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

A quick credibility reminder

I agree.

With all the retirements, CAL could be the most secure major out there. Also, there is a good chance that CAL will be the highest paid eventually with a new contract.

I hope to be there soon.

Rejection hurts. You should get some therapy.

Actually I was under the impression that the reason that the pilots don't get bennies for the first six months is because it is a system wide thing for all new employees at CAL from ramp to pilots. No bennies for the first 6 months for anyone. I could be wrong.

Bleagle:

Ok, I'll rephrase. What makes you think that any other non-management employee gets medical bennies before 6 months?

Looking at the CAL website, it appears that they have to wait as well.

On the first day of the seventh month of employment, employees may elect to participate in the following Group Insurance Plans.

I just want to know if you know something different, and can provide corroberating evidence; or are you spewing trash when you don't really know what you are talking about? It's ok to admit it. We all do it here. I like to be proved wrong.

I think it is criminal for ANY employee to have to wait.

Do the executives have to wait?

I turned down CAL to stay at a regional.

THAT's how bad it is at CAL and yes, I did stay at Holiday INN Express last night. LOL

You forgot to add the words "got" and "so I had" to your comments.... should have read:

"I got turned down at CAL so I had to stay at a regional."

I'm in 3rd year pay, making more than I would have as a line pilot at XJT after 9 yrs and I haven't even upgraded yet. That's with a crappy contract with absolutely no work rules. All done through trading, no straight pickups. Oh, and I gained three additional days off. Granted, I have to work my shedule pretty hard by trading for more productive trips, but it goes to show you there is a lot more to the paycheck than what you read on airlinepilotcentral.com. Heard through a new-hire the other day that they are telling them plans are to have 8,000 pilots on property within 5-7 years. Whether or not that actually happens (I too have my doubts), it's nice to see mgmt has such ambitious growth plans. Even if they're half wrong anybody hired today will have a lot of pilots underneth them in a few years (barring any catastrophic event). Tell me again why it sucks to be at CAL?

I am not referring to CAL CSA's.... the point is that there are full time employees at other airlines who don't have to wait for SIX months for bennies.

Since we are going to just focus on CAL... Why do CAL employees (especially with dependents) need to wait SIX months for bennies?
Remember, I am on their side.... CAL is recognized as an admired company and it is an inconsiderate policy at best for ALL the hard working/ loyal employees at CAL. But don't worry, management [at some airlines] get bonuses when the hard working employees help maintain fuel savings and on time performance.

Again, are you trying to justify this policy because it applies to everyone at CAL?

Don't you CAL guys worry about my LOOKS. I've never had any complaints. And I've sampled a Captain or two in my day...before I was married that is. LOL

OTOH, I've seen some pretty chubby CAL pilots down in Houston. HAHA. Probably the guys typing on here right now. LOL

It is so funny to read your posts. It is the worst impression of a guy trying to act like a flaky girl that I have ever seen. It is like a really bad comedy show.

Have fun.
