When DFW was closed and the crews got kicked to ATL, they were given Clark Howell passes, regardless of seniority.

When they complained, they were told "Parking passes are not a contract item, and therefore are not governed by seniority. Lot 3 openings will be given on a first come, first serve basis".

So technically, ASA could do this any way they want and we'd have no recourse.

Hopefully not this time. I witnessed the CP's address this 1st hand ..... BD & FL went up the chain of reverse command to at least TRY to see that this did not occurr this time. Those SLC senior enough to "hold" Lot 3 will be issued Lot 3 upon arrival.
Sometimes they're good for something.

I'll help. Print a list of all Lot 3 pass holders, sort it by seniority, count up 700 people from the bottom.

Now that is funny, to bad they don't have a clue.

The new list starts from 17+++, and goes to the bottom. Anybody with a number higher than that is gone....... When I was there today she hadnt quite finalized it yet, but it was somewhere near the 17100 range. Has nothing to do with pilot seniority, strictly employee numbers, which is usually pretty close for pilots anyway, but the list includes all ASA people, like rampers, gates, etc.

Lot 3

Did anyone ask why 700 people needed to move, who is going to replace us. The lot will be empty if that many go!

Here is what I understand. A good portion of LOT 3 will no longer exist. They (airport authority or whatever) are gonna build a wrap around taxi way there to go around the departure end of 9R.....so they can launch us AND taxi AC around the end with no "traffic crossing down field" stuff. I believe they're doing the same thing on the end of 8L.

How about the fact that they give us less than a week to get out and the clake howell people have about a month. Whats up with that? The next time I'm at work will be the 15th so I'm supposed to change my pass at the gate? Good system.

So how exactly will they know who is suppossed to be there and noe if we already have green medallions? Are they going to check every name...this will take a while!

And then all the DFW's got into Lot 3 anyway. See, if you complain loud enough...

Boy, it's a good thing they spent the better part of a million $$ to add that new fence about a year ago in the lot #3 area. In less than a years time they are going to tear it down--BRILLIANT!
