Saw down in MKY yesterday where a NJA 119QS was doing high speen taxies down runway to burn off fuel to be able to carry load out of there and on fifth run down runway blew both mains due to excessive brake heat. Is this normal procedure for burning off fuel. Makes more sense to set parking brake and pull power than do high speen runs on runway. it closed airport for 6 hours till mx could replace tires and wheels on the runways and then remove it.

that was my first thought, but no capabilites. I learned in limitations maybe day one or two in school bout brake energy..maybe beechjet doesnt have that problem

Thermal the tires!! Wow, sounds like BS to me. Nobody uses this kind of procedure to burn off fuel. Sounds like you trying to spread negative ******************** about NJA because you weren't hired here.

I don't doubt the possibility of one of our jets closing a rwy due to blown tire(s), but the story line is "questionable".
