FINAL AWARDS
POSITION NOTICE # 06-14
1-CO ID Seniority NAME Effective Date EFF A/C EFF SEAT EFF DOM

Well why don't you organize a drive to have all the pilots here at ASA work for 50% less than everyone else in the industry so we can then get all the regional flying in the DCI system...then the entire regional world! Better yet...we could just work for free so we could get all the regional flying in the world so we could all upgrade and get our 1000 hours of PIC and move onto the greenpastures of $250k a year....whatever.

Re-attach your balls and stand with ALPA. Yea they may have some issues, but its ALPA or Mgmt's word and obviously you've chosen your side. I chose to stand with ALPA since they are made up of pilots working for pilots to try and keep us from getting hosed by the most awesomely amazing<sarcasm inserted here> regional managment team around.

On a serious note here though, I'm an ATR captain being displaced. My bid was for CR2 Fo which is what it showed on the prelims. The finals show me going to ATR fo (I dont even have that on my bid sheet). My question is, shouldnt I be able to displace a more junior CR2 Fo?
Anyone know?

YES. You should call BM tomorrow and ask. If he does not give you an answer, go to a CP. If neither can rectify the situation, griev it.

What?

Poor guy. I bet you absolutely wet yourself to rush on here and post that, and then you couldn't even cut and paste correctly. What a wad.
Read this if you need something. So YOU want me to cut/paste the names of our co-workers on this site...its more obvious how absurd that is, in not thinking first.
Jack .

This is BS and JOHN PENNECAMP said this would never happen.

John Pennecamp is a line pilot just like you are.

Also, there is nothing in the contract that says that the company may not do this.

My point was why cut and paste at all? What you put on there means absolutely nothing. It's the top line of a final award. Why all the drama, anyhow? I realize this is a big deal for the people being displaced, but it's not like we just found out about this today. We've known for a few weeks now. But, go ahead and beat your dead horse if it makes you feel better.

Actually, they are correct. The junior-most Captain (which happen to be you seven on the ATR displace to the right seat of the equipment that you are currently on (the ATR).

I ran into this in the past, I've received five displacement letters and have been displaced three times at ASA. A displaced pilot can only be displaced to an actual vacancy and cannot bump a junior pilot out of his position. Now if you are being displaced and another displaced pilot who is junior to you gets a CR2 FO vacancy you bid for, then you have an argument. But you can't bump a current CR2 FO to ATR FO. Remember that if ATR CA positions come up within 6 Months you have recall rights and can bypass seniority to get ATR CA back. But that is only if you displaced on the same equipment. Call BM and see what his projections are for the future. If he says there will be ATR CA vacancies within 6 mos then he's doing you a favor and giving you the opportunity to get your seat back when it's available. If he says no, then you can fight it to get what you bid.

Unless you are being displaced into another domicle. (like SLC to ATL). Then its purely seniority.

a.s.a. sucks!!!!! I got displaced in 03 im waiting till i have 200 under my belt till i bid back to the left seat.

The problem with calling BM is:
1. He doesn't know $h1t.
2. He is a fak1ng moron.
3. He is a liar.
