Just watched NBC news with Brian Williams and they're saying BA has flown 6 empty flights (without a single passenger) during the past 10 days between LHR and LAX, JFK, IAH, YYZ.
The reason....short staffed.
BA said they had to fly the flights or they would lose their slots at LHR.
What a waste of fuel.

I'm confused. Who's flying them if they're short staffed?

Just pilots flying cargo, so no cabin crews on board which is where they are short staffed apparently.
