It's a great editorial, but like others have pointed out, it won't go far on AOPA's pages, or places like flightinfo.

What Phil needs to do is get AOPA on MySpace and start firing this off in bulletins titled "omg! my gf is pregnant and it's not mine!!!"

I'm kidding, of course, but until someone constructs the cause in a way that appeals to the interests of, and educates, the greater public, we're going to continue going around and around in circles like this.
