That SIU internship program obviously created intense animosity. I'm not defending it by any means, I never had the slightest bit of interest in it. I suspect though that it was the first thing that lit the fuse for one of our colleagues here on the board with regards to UAL. The funny thing is that as time has gone on, the UAL bashing doesn't even bother me anymore. Also, I still don't feel any compelling need to cut down other pilots that fly for LCC's, regionals, fractionals, or whatever. We keep having the same silly debates about this stuff over and over on this board. It reminds me of a SNL bit where William Shatner was the guest of honor at a Star Trek geek convention. When Capt. Kirk got up to speak in front of the awed crowd dressed in their Star Trek uniforms, he had just one thing to say. "People, you need to get a life!"
