Ty, I am sorry, I do not know you, but I will make this comment. You sound very arrogant. You need to sit back, relax and be humble (Believe in good/bad karma); STOP GLOATING about Airtran AND STOP CUTTING ON OTHER AIRLINES. You are becoming a snob, much like the pilots at the other airline you hate so much.

As much as I disagree (or at least did when they were in full swing) with the UAL HR pilot selection department they scored big points by making sure your sorry ARSE never made it into one of our birds....kudos to DAL,AA,SWA,NWA and CAL and just about everybody else that you ever applied too...Airtran must have been hurting pre 9/11.

That SIU internship program obviously created intense animosity. I'm not defending it by any means, I never had the slightest bit of interest in it. I suspect though that it was the first thing that lit the fuse for one of our colleagues here on the board with regards to UAL. The funny thing is that as time has gone on, the UAL bashing doesn't even bother me anymore. Also, I still don't feel any compelling need to cut down other pilots that fly for LCC's, regionals, fractionals, or whatever. We keep having the same silly debates about this stuff over and over on this board. It reminds me of a SNL bit where William Shatner was the guest of honor at a Star Trek geek convention. When Capt. Kirk got up to speak in front of the awed crowd dressed in their Star Trek uniforms, he had just one thing to say. "People, you need to get a life!"

Mugs, couldn't agree more - there is still enough intelligent debate and insight on the industry to make it worthwhile to view this board though. I suggest either blocking out or ignoring the namecallers and those that don't add something of substance. My favorite is how UAL is so full of minority hires that couldn't find their butt with both hands - I'm still waiting to fly with one of those people.
