For many of us who have just completed a tour proudly serving our Country, I must say that I take personal offense to those individuals and companies that have no sense of nationalism. While I am all for a global economy, many in this country have no understanding of patriotism.

Jet Blue is an opportunistic company whose CEO enjoys the capitalistic advantages that the US provides (for which folks like me defend) and then makes the decision to equip the company with 100 % foreign manufactured aircraft.

Not only does JET Blue not support American made product, but they choose to partner with a country that has utter contempt for the United States.

The second partner that JET Blue decided to partner with is substadized by a Country that is among the largest drug exporters to the US, whose Government looks the other way, or is unable to make effective change against the war on drugs that is responsible for a large percentage of the crime in the US. Way to go Jet Blue! What a proud and patriotic organization! Lets vote JET BLUE American company of the year.

David Peppi le peau Neeleman. You are a fine American and great CEO. I think you should be voted CEO of the year. When you are not hording for media attention telling all who will listen how great you are, you are comprimising the strength of this great nation while masking yourself as a proud American.

By the way, the argument that the motor that runs the toilet on the Airbus is made in the US is a joke since the fact is that 85% of the items of the Bill of Materials for the Airbus is manufactured overseas. The profits to France then help support their contempt for us. Remember in 1986 when our brothers flying the F-16 had to fly an 11 hour mission to Lybia because France would not allow an overflight.

As far as I am concerned, American's have an obligation to instill in themself's a bit of nationalism. The trade deficit is insane, and a sense of nationalism is a good thing!!!

Only fly on those airlines that choose to operate an all American equipment. Go BOEING!!! If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going!!!

Fly Delta Airlines
Fly Continental Airlines
Fly Southwest Airlines
Fly Air Tran
Did I miss anyone else?

At the top of the shame list is JET Blue, followed by the likes of

United
American
Northwest

Booo Jet Blue, Booo United, Booo American, Booo Northwest

bally,

do you drive a pugeout or le car?

Research First

All I can say is do your homework first:

Airbus=70% +/- made in USA parts, assembled in France and Germany

Embrarer=80% =/- US Parts, assembled in Brazil.

jetBlue=80% US Military (active or have served before) Pilots.

Phooey on you sourpuss

You had better check the foriegn content of Boeing airplanes.

The triple 7 has about 28 different countries making sub assemblies for them....major sub assembles. Japan and Austrailian enterprises contribute huge amounts of stuff to Boeing aircraft. Better get used to it. All major companies are multi national now.

"Airbus=70% +/- made in USA parts, assembled in France and Germany"

Hmmm. The fusalage is created (manufactured) in Touloose France (sorry about the spelling). Per your representation that 70% of the aircraft comes from the US, than the fusalage only reprsents 30% of the aircraft, and any other part not made in the US would result in the fusalage being less than 30% of the aircraft. Those numbers sure do not add up.

And by the way, the Airbus is still a Frog airplane where the profits go to those who have contempt for America. When are we going to stand up, get a spine, and take issue with those squirmy frogs that do not stand with us.

Jet Blue 320, Sorry if my being pro-America and wishing for a strong country and economy seems like my being a sourpuss to you. A Boeing plant in my town whose production line which operated for over 30 years is being closed.

Go Delta!!! Go Continental!!! Go Southwest!!! Go Air Tran

Lets hope that Peppi Neeleman's ego stays insanely huge so he will go after Delta. Go Delta! Go Song! It would also be very entertaining to watch JET Blue go after Southwest since it seems that David has not gotten over being fired (oops, I a mean asked to leave) Southwest Airlines.

Go America!
Go Boeing!
Fly only metal airplanes!
Composite airplanes suck!
I do love the french fries! Go Freedom fries!!!

Question Bally? Does the fact that the company, JetBlu contribute to the US ecconomy, by employing people, pilots included, bother you? Would you prefer that Boeing people had their jobs, and the JetBlu people did not have their jobs? Would you feel that JAL and other flag carriers not use 747's?

Would you boycott an airline, whose fuel came from the middle east or South America? Where do you draw your line. Would you not have titanium from Africa be used in the manufacture of military and civilian A/C. How about Rolls-Royce jet engines---are they taboo also on any US aircraft? You really need to think this stuff out a little better. Isolationism is dead!

Boeing planes have HUGE foreign content.

"jetBlue=80% US Military (active or have served before) Pilots."

Jet Blue pilots who have served our Country are awesome. Can't blame a man or women for needing a job, especially in this environment. Do the right thing and tell your very approachable CEO to BUY AMERICAN!!! Say no to drugs!

What a novel argument:)

So I take it, you are parking your car andf walking, since most oil producing countries hates us and the chief perpetrator as well as all the terrorist during 9/11 were Saudis and were sponsored by the royal Saudis.

Enjoy!

Jarhead:

I am all for a global economy. Except when the trade deficit approaches 400 billiion dollars. Do you know what impact that has on the strength of the dollar? Jobs in the US...

There needs to be a balance. It is not balanced. Boeing needs to go offshore to compete with Airbus, who is supported by a number of European Governments.

Foreign companies will buy American product if we produce a quality product at a competitive price. I do not blame someone for buying a Japanese car in the 80's when Detroit was producing crap.

The fact here is that France is and has always had contempt for the US. Lets grow a set of ----'s, and take pride in our Country and only support those who support us.

I agree Bally.......Say No to Drugs.

Yes....no fair that European governments provide subsidy to Airbus. Why, that would be tantamount to the US government bailing out large airlines......and that'd be terrible!

Wow!

While I'm not thrilled with the French either I do realize that the world is turning to rely more and more on foreign labor. It really has nothing to do with whether or not we buy american. It has everything to do with how much money "so-and-so" company can save. As far as Brazil being the largest exporter of drugs to our country... I'm not sure you are entirely correct. I believe that Columbia, Panama, Venezuela and other third world contries are more of a menace to our war on drugs. Also just so you know Boeing has a huge interest in Embraer. They are a good company! It makes sense.
Boeing is a great company also. I grew up in Seattle and have family who still work there. With that being said I will admit that sometimes companies get a little too big for their britches. There are individuals who are much smarter than I and they say macro-economics is good for everyone. Ya know what? I agree. I'd rather see more of my fellow aviators employed, living the dream, instead of wishing because Boeing has made buying airplanes so expensive.
You are entitled to you opinion no matter how skewed it is. This is America! You are free to express your thoughts! However...realize the only person you discredit is youself when you personally attack another individual (Neeleman). I hope you find what you are looking for at Delta, Continental or Airtan.
Andy

How about we figure out:

1. What percentage of parts & assembly goes into your average Boeing in the US?

2. A comparison of our own country's historical involvement with funding drugs, Osama, Saddam, verus the Frogs.

I'm sorry but history doesn't lie.

When can we start interviewing foreign pilots to take your job??

I believe that the percentages that have been spoken of as far as what part of an airbus or embraer is us, is not so much as the total % of the aircraft material as it is the total dollar amount that goes into the aircraft.

For instance small things such as an avionics package are not as big as a wing, but may carry a large price tag that is paid to an American company....

Nike shoes anyone???

Refund

Bally,

Please pm me with your contact info. I will neeed a receipt of what and when you spent at JetBlue (it must be in your name, not your company buying you a ticket). I will personally ensure you receive a full refund. If the companywon't do it, then I will personally. I don't want you to be jilted in any way.

As far as the rest of the paying public goes, I don't seem to hear too many complaints.

I don't think you are being pro American I just think that you are plain Ignorant. Your last name isnt Bush by any chance. If you ask me, which you arent, Pro American to me would be to keep simple minds like yours out of the military.

Whatever mess we are in financial is all but our own fault, not some other countries. Tarrif the Sh*t out of countries that don't compete fairly, boycott countries, ect.
