Thats a typo....the bought a sh*t load of 727's not 767's.

Don't they only have about 2 or 3 of them actually flying though?

John Wraga doesn't own a single plane, but from his office at Hanscom Field he is crafting a grand vision for the future of air travel: an all-first-class airline with a manicurist, exercise equipment, and ''everything you can think of onboard."

I thought that the terms of purchase were that they could not be operated in the US--so they were going to start flying out of DR to points further south using Dominican pilots--for 1/2 the planes, the others to be parted out for both fleets.

How ironic that the CEO's name is FINK... :)

Boston Maine has about 3-5 in flying status, only allowed 3 in service according to their DOT authorization. They bought about 24 ex-United 727s 3 years ago with hopes of starting up as a "dominate" carrier again. You can see carcasses of some of those 727s at Sanford, FL and Portsmouth, NH airports. A couple have already been chopped up. There is no way they are ready to advance to the 767. It was a typo by some dumb reporter who doesn't know a C 152 from a 747.
