If anyone has done this commute themselves please PM me I'm thinking about starting a commute and have some questions. Thanks.

Thanks yeah there's also AirTran which does a decent amount of flights

I used to do it, probably one of the easier commutes. Delta, Airtran direct, you also have the shuttle through LGA and DCA.

From reading the replies here it looks like being able to afford to live in the Boston area would be more of an issue than the commute.

Wish I could afford it, at least for half the year.

12 in a row for the Sawx!

I hear what your saying. Born and raised in Boston, now live in CLT. Would love to move back but could never afford it.

Sox are looking GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! -Bean

Check out craigslist guys, ive been finding decent places for 600-800 a month per person; about what you'd pay in Midtown ATL.

Actually, Logan's hard. There's a lot of Delta commuters up there. I used to have people up there and spent many hours trying to get out of that airport. Maybe move closer to MHT and go on ASA.

Yeah that was another option for me. A Manchester commute would be much easier no doubt. Upside: no state income tax. Downside: not in Boston.

Delta did have a base there (BOS) at one point but it doesn't seem like there are tons of Delta guys commuting, at least the 1 or 2 times a month I travel up there.

All you've gotta do is a little searching. I found a 4 bedroom house for $2600 in Brighton. High ceilings, full deck, 10,000 square foot back yard, and 12x15 bedrooms, and that was on the first page of 9. But what the hell am saying? You're right, don't move up there. More jumpseats for me!

I never tried to commute, But there are many options if you are senior enought to hold commutable trips....Only trouble will be around holidays and scholl vacations. I used to work at the gatesa in BOS.....As I recall Jumpseats were not often reserved or taken even after the base closed. Off line might be more difficult unless you are CASS.

Go SOX!!!

Good info, great news, appreciate it. Can you say 12 game win streak?

You definitely don't have to worry about me. I can't afford Boston and after living down south for 4 years I don't think I have any more New England winters in me.

MHT might be another story though. My sister (the successful one in the family) has a lake house north of MHT and I'm the family mooch.

Lake House? You wouldn't be refering to Winnipesaukee would you?? Best summers of my life. Spent every summer from when I was 1 to my 22nd year up there. Love it!

I was based in BOS for ACA/Delta Connection for two years. Most of the Delta guys in BOS commute to JFK. Occasionally when I'd DH to CVG I'd run across a DAL guy jumpseating to work.

Close. Winnisquam.

Haven't been up there lately but I plan on fixing that soon enough.
