If you're an NBAA member, it can be done easily on their website with a form they provide.

As RS6 said, check out www.nbaa.org and their BARR program.

Here is the link to that specific page. It doen't mention being a member to sign up, but RS might be correct that you need to be.

Just curious why someone would want to block a tail number? The owners privacy?

Scenario A:
Fortune 500 buyout/merger happening in Atlanta. Rumors have been around for a few weeks. Joe Blow at DEF company checks his flight tracking program and notices eight of his competitors are all enroute to Atlanta.

Scenario B:
Jane Doe, CEO and President of a large, multi-national corporate is going away for a weekend retreat and shareholder's meeting. She's at the center of a controversial merger that has several radical groups up in arms. She'd like for her and her company staff to travel without broadcasting where they're going to be in the next three hours.

Scenario C:
Jack Jones just doesn't want every Tom, Dick and Harry to know where he's going today.

FWIW- I put electrical tape over our tail # and it STILL showed up on the flightracker.

How do they do that?
