Didn't know the pilot but I know a few people at the company he worked for. They all said he was a really great guy and couldn't believe it. It is a real bummer for everyone involved. Definitely a lose-lose situation.
everything happens for a resaon.. if the low flying pilot didnt lie about his story to the feds, maybe the inspector wouldn't have made the second trip to re-interview the pilot.. and maybe no one would have been there to save the accident victims' life..
