Most junior BOI capt hired 1/2005.

In anticipation of upcoming growth, Big Sky doesn't currently have enough FO that are qualified to upgrade. I could tell you more but I'd have to kill you.

The scope between Big Sky and Mesaba is not enforceable because the two contracts contradict one another. Big Sky could eventually fly aircraft with more than 19 seats (highly unlikely).

Watch out for a new domicile way out east.

The 19 seat scope restrictions was the ONLY thing upheld during the bankruptcy... which in this era of all for the company screw the labor would suggest that Big Sky isn't going to fly anything over 19 seats while owned by MAIR.

Those guys have been bumped with the expansion as far as I know. Sent packing to springfield to fill openings.

I just talked to Oct 04 Hire and he was making the drive out to the midwest forced to springfield for DEC schedule.

This is false information. Big Sky CAN NOT fly more than 19 seats. It has been challanged in court and up held. As long as MAIR holdings owns both. The Judge basically said it was signed and it is to be upheld, And not brought up again. It about the only thing the Mesaba pilots didn't loose during there bankrupcy court hearings.

There may be some one over at BS that is telling young pilots and recruits that it is not enforceable, but they are either lying or just don't know any better.

Not a chance. There is only a shortage of extremely low-time pilots who WILL WORK FOR CRAPPY COMPANIES FOR LITTLE OR NO PAY AND TERRIBLE QUALITY OF LIFE.

There is no shortage whatsoever of qualified pilots to work for well-paying companies who treat their employees well. None.

Just curious, which category do you put USA Jet/Active Aero in?

The on-demand industry, of which USA Jet is a part is about to return to the good ole days of 1999-2001, where recruiting is greater challenge. Like the class in September of 2000, review 200+ resumes, invite 100 to interview, 25 elect to show for the interview, offer 16 jobs, end up hiring 14, there are 6 no-shows, 2 drop out in ground school for other jobs, 5 finish IOE and go on line, Start another class in October of 2000 repeat the process. This is all part of the worldwide pilot shortage and coming hiring boom of June 2007. BTW of the six no-shows, only two called to lets us know they were not going to attend class. I assume space aliens abducted the other 4.
