118, The Hanger Queen is no more, shipping her back to where she came from on Tuesday.

that is big news? if it is even true then the info could only have been known for a week MAYBE. anything more and the colgan cluster factory would have changed the plan 1, 2, maybe even 300 hundred times. which means you made sure you ran to the internet to post it. hmmmmmmmm
guess the opposite gender doesnt interest you that much.

Did you guys ever get the smell out of 118? It was grounded for over a month at Shuttle because all the pilots refused to fly it due to the disgusting smell in the cockpit during climb and descent.

118sd

118SD was a real piece of work. Flew it 4 days ago. left engine peaked 8 degrees C below ITT limit during start then was 5 degrees C below T/O ITT limit. It must have been written up so many times for over temping on takeoff. "Ops check good" my a$$. Right engine ITT liked to jump randomly 50-60 degrees C for no reason with no Torque, Ng or FF correlation. Glad its gone, that plane scared me. And I dont scare.

that plane was a real piece of work !! notice the tail number end SD which we refered to as (Somethings Dead) that plane stunk!! as for the engines they are touchy most times we found the wiring was so wornout in those planes you never knew what the real temp was !!!

118SD was a POS when shuttle america operated it. and we all joked about the Pres of the company putting his initials on the fleet "SD" Scott Durg.....n

I heard MetLife bought it to use as a corporate shuttle... I guess all the insurance holders rates will go up to keep it running. It's at the hanger in alb getting the engines and props that it came with put back on then its gone but you never know....
