If you want lots of time off I would consider the airline that doesnt require a commute. Commuting will kill most chances at getting more then 4 days off in a row.

The best regional for schedule flexibility is Pinnacle.

We never schedule reduced rests!

Crew scheduling never calls us on our days off.

Honestly, we're overstaffed on pilots.

Trip drops are always approved, and you can easily get 7 days off in a row every month.

Complimentary disease-free asian hookers on every overnight.

What more could you want?

Come on over to Pinnacle, we're Simply the Best!

No need to drop/trade trips at RAH. We have preff bid. If you make it your top prefference, 5-6 days off is pretty easy. Of course doing that may skrew up the rest of your month.

Also, that's assuming you're a line holder with a few guys/gals under you. The people on the VERY bottom get very little choioce in there sked with PBS.

Right now, I'd say a couple months seniority and you could get six days easy depending on your base.

Pease!!

It is a terrible system at RAH. Pref Bid can be okay, but every month i fear for denial mode messing everything up. It always seems that someone junior to you gets what you wanted. The worst part is that once your award comes out, you are stuck. No flexibility whatsoever. There is no open time to trade or pick up and absolutely no trip drops. Joe C owns you by the short and curlys and will never let go.

Huh, well I guess it all depends on your base and/or seat. Preff bid has always worked really well for me.

Defidently, trip trades/drops/open time has problems.

Ditto. Sked+ rocks if reserves are staffed.

Excellent point. Most folks in Denver and Chicago are pretty happy with the application due to staffing levels. But it's a sore point in SLC, where staffing is so thin you can't drop your shorts.
