Which regional would you say is the best for ability for pilots to pick up and drop trips so one can get 5-6ish days off in a row per month.

I'm thinking this would be only possible as a line holder?

Must be done in transition, no regional will give you this routinely.
If this is important to you, and looking at your time why not go to Netjets?

Correct answer is "none"...although I'd presume Expressjet would be the closest with their scheduling language, and some Skywest folks seem to like the flexibility Sked+ gives them.
 
I don't even think that's a real question. With the exception of 'for', those four words cannot be used together to make up a sentence like that.

from what I know even Transstates has an electronic drop trip/pick up system.

RAH doesn't have crap. What you see is what you get- all drops/swaps are at the mercy of the inundated scheduling coordinator.
 
Very happy with the SKW system. Needed a whole bunch of days off two months ago, and played with my schedule to the point I ended up with 19 days off, in blocks of 8 in a row, 7 in a row, and the rest sprinkled in between trips. Being somewhat low on seniority, I was amazed it worked. That being said, the paycheck was terrible. All of it was done online with no interaction with CrewSch.
 
At Eagle we do have the automated trip trade, and you can finagle it so you wind up with 6 or seven days off in a row, but you are going to pay for it with your days on. At least your paycheck wont suffer.

Ditto. Sked+ rocks if reserves are staffed. I''ve been able to drop to minimum credit, or add to the max like I did this month. Great way for junior guys to get weekends off!
 
XJT's trading is good if you're on the CoEx side, especially as a hard lineholder. I've dropped entire weeks of flying at one time. I've never actually flown a trip that was on my awarded line. Obvious caveat: The amount of time you invest in watching open time and pool levels is proportional to the trades you can accomplish. I spend way too much time on the computer, but IMO it's worth it. YMMV.
 
I don't know what the others are talking about but at Skywest you can easily get 5-6 days off in a row every month once you are a line holder.

well, it sounds like there are 2 regionals that have what ur looking for. At XJT, i havent talked to crew scheduling in over 3 months, i have dropped alot of flying lately and it gives me the leasure to work my side business and i make alot more money doing that than flying, im at the point where i can drop to 18 days off and come in to fly because it is fun after being off so much. So, either XJT or SKYW... take your pic, it sounds like we are similar with the trading and dropping.
