I was talking with one of our CP the other day and this is what he told me!

1.) all CRJ-700 will transfer to Skywest who will fly them out of ATL on all of our current flights.

2.) In return we will get 25 CRJ-200 from the desert some of which will fly the LAX base flights.

3) Q-400's will replace ATR's

4) Best for last!!! 30 of the 65 EMB-120 that skywest owns will transfer to ASA to be flown out of the ATL and LAX hubs!

I don't want to start a flamebait war and this might just be smoke and mirrors for the next time MANG meets with ALPA to try and get something done. I am only telling you what the CP's told me... let the comments begin

Sounds like the CP's need to get drug tested. I never noticed the water bong in Chuck's office before! Good for him!

CP don't know shi_t and that story backs it up. They are just puppets for the company to fall on if something bad happens. Why do you think they are all so under qualified, they are safer in the office then out on the line as CA's.

So let me get this straight. Skywest is going to pay to move 35 airplanes from ASA to Skywest. Pay to open a base for what will be about 150 pilots (even tho they already have the staffing in atl from ASA. Then pay to move 30 more airplanes to ASA (Even tho they have the staffing at skywest), then pay to get the instructors to be requaled at ASA and Finally they are going to get rid of the ATRs and buy 20 new q400s? and Why?

That is the dumbest thing I have heard.

1. Wrong.
2. Not totally correct.
3. We are bidding, along with CMR, for it.
4. Totally wrong!

Why were you talking with a chief pilot to start with? They are not respected even by our own management. They know nothing and they do nothing. I would trust the word of a new hire ramper over one of these losers.:(

Yeah, Bo really knows ASA:

Im not trying to start any flamebait.

My CR7 Capt. today told me that Scott Hall told his recurrent class that ASA is considering opening a CR2 base in MCO. While he told my class 3 months ago that we would not be opening any new bases this year. Who knows every day it changes just wondering if anyone else has been told anything?(good rumors)

Just some rumor coming out of recurrent that they are going to start EFB on the Crj-700 at the end of Feb. I guess Skywest has the correct paperwork to use it and we can grandfather in underthem. Has anyone else been hit by this rumor yet?

the New Hire Pool Has Balooned To Over 150 Pilots!!! Ual Has Said It Wants To Expand Out Of Iad. It Purchased The Fly-i Gates Today. Talk Is Our 705's Are Being Readied In The Southwest With Dual Class Config. Skywest Is Ready To Test The Water Somewhere Else With Their New Company. The Contract Has This Rush Type Deadline To A March Rumor Finish Date. A Ual Corporate Car Was At Asa Hq On Wed Afternoon So What Could Be Going On??? Hmmm..

Mesa must be really bad if Delta isn't happy with their performance. Delta seems to be putting up with ASA and we all know how bad our performance (or lack of) is!

The water bong may have been left by the previous occupant of his office. The previous CP told me ASA would definately get 737's, perhaps all the Delta narrow body flying, and that he could get me hired at Delta, but that it would not matter because we would all be one company before long. To be perfectly candid, I think the guy is a little nuts, but who wouldn't be? The longer I'm here the more I hope he is right.

I remember a famous quote at my 1 year interview. Two chief pilots sat there and told me to "Stick around, we will be on the Delta list within a year - Right Doug. Why yes Dale it is everything but a done deal". That was five years ago. The chief pilots are just like us on rumors except they feel obligated to toe the company theme.

They did leave the 120 pay rates in our currently parked contract. Hmmmmmmm?

I sent SKW mgmt an email a while back thinking it would be a good idea to bring the e120 to ATL (for them to fly) for some of the shorter lighter flights and was told that under no circumstances would the e120 come to ATL. Of course that was more than two days ago so things may have changed by now.
