Hi all,
Circa 1989, Panama City, FL. Forget the FBO, but they had a late 70's Chevy Land Barge Station Wagon with the fake wood trim (it would flap when you went above 20). Green was the original color, but rust was now in the majority.
It ran on about 3 of the 8 cylinders, the drivers seat would slide back and forth each time you hit the gas or the brake (weak accel and brakes not withstanding). Every time you left a light, it would leave a Spy Hunter style cloud of DENSE smoke behind it.
You would roll up to a light, and the people in cars around you would reach for their door locks...most humorous.
Ironically, later on driving it around the beach area, we found a "Bates Motel". I have a picture of the car from hell in front of the Bates Motel. I will treasure it forever.
Best,
Nu
