A lot of times, a company already has a candidate in mind, but the company's HR Dept. requires all positions to be advertised outside the company.

Notice the ad doesn't require a type rating in the 737, nor does it require any time in the aircraft, which makes it suspicious. My guess is they already are hiring someone . . . and that someone doesn't have any 73NG time.

If the owner of a Pilot employment website wanted to attract the largest amount of furloughees, though, an ad for a BBJ would be it, since the 737 is the most popular airliner in history.
