[Not sure what pigeonhole for this so I put it here. Forum search showed nothing]

YIP (or anyone else),

This thing has been floating around as a "start-up" for literally years. It's either a scam or the most inept management ever.

No No, they are the real deal. They have inked a code share deal with California Pacific to provide feed!

Or neither. Since de-regulation, at any given time, there are 4-8 people (or investment groups) that are actively trying to start up an airline. The vast majority of them never get much past the initial proposal stages and only a small percentage make it to certification. It takes almost nothing to think of a name, design a logo and make a website. My guess is this is neither a scam or the most inept management ever, but more likely just like 95% of all other airlines that were proposed since de-regulation that never made it much past the proposal stage.

I was first contacted by them in late 2005, so almost a decade now.

i was contacted in 2008 by some chic who was foreign and had kids in the background crying. 747s to moscow ro something?

Yes Kalitta was doing the training, but my understanding is Baltia had to put together a training program and then Kalitta used that program to do the training. The Feds were unhappy with the program that was put together partially because the person at Kalitta who was responsible for turning the training program into reality went to the Feds and said it was so screwed up he was not going to sign anyone off.

Again second hand info, but fairly reliable.
