Hey, what ever happened to those alerts?

Seems like it all went away after the 2004 election. How are we suppose to know if we should be afraid or not?

Don't worry. Kerry wasn't elected, so there's no need to be afraid for now.

As I recall, the "threat level" would go from yellow to orange whenever something embarassing about the Bush administration would surface.

Tom "Duct tape" Ridge wondered out loud about the alerts arbitrary nature when he left the Homeland Security department.
