What king of background check is done by a futur employer. Do they require the lattest 6 month simulator check or do they just give a phone call to find out how long you've been working there?

some do a full 10 yr employment check.

also heard:

FBI background check
driving history
credit check

all depends on the sensitivity of the outfit I assume.

I too was curious about how corporate operators hire. Is it as scrutinized as 121 flying is (like college transcripts, lifetime MVR, HS diploma or transcripts, etc.).

Reason I ask is my first year at Riddle was not exactly stellar. I dropped quite a few classes (long story) and never actually withdrew. I did eventually retake them, but the F's are still there and Riddle won't take them off. Really looks bad and I would hate to have to explain to an interviewer why I was an idiot. Thanks!

I fly for a smaller operation in the midwest (2 planes) and the only check I was aware we had was a criminal and driving record. No one asked for transcripts, I too had some bad grades at Riddle early on. But, I also don't work for a large multinational corporation either. For what its worth.

I'm a PRC grad. Don't worry about the grades too much. Just tell them the truth, if they even check that stuff.
