How long, for a guy/gal hired today, would you be on reserve on the 320 in any base? Also, which base is first to hold a line typically? Thanks in advance.

My buddy uses my place as a crashpad for the FLL base and he has been sitting reserve since late may. He is not expecting to hold a line here in at least the next 6 months. As for JFK, he could have held one of the last lines this month and probubly not for years in LGB. He can not even hold BOS as a base. As for the base that will get a line the fastest...JFK by far. Hope this helps....Charlie Brown, give me a ring if you get to JFK, well have to do lunch.

How long would a guy hired today have to wait before an A320 upgrade?

Thanks.

If I end up in JFK, I will certainly let you know. Thanks for the info. My buddies in the company are a little out of touch with reserve life so I thought I would post the question here. Sounds like if I am offered a class, JFK would be my choice for sure.

As for upgrade on the Bus, it sounds like that is going to be getting further away by the day. My WAG would be about 5-6 years, then reserve for a good bit, i.e. a year plus. Then again, I have nothing to base that on other than what my B6 friends are telling me.
