Don't get "too" caught up in the issue of E-190 pay.

Carefully read the contract. Some items have changed radically.

Like...

(1) Stock vesting schedule. (BIG change)

(2) Limiting arbitration language. (VERY BIG change)

Very "un-like" a company that's supposed to take care of it's people!

(Just my $.02 worth)

B6 Payscales. . .

Ummmmm. . . . I don't have my JetBlue contract handy. I know I should have one because I'm supposed to wish I worked there. . .

Can you help us out???

Contract is the wrong word. Jetblue is non union and has no pilot contract. Policy is probably a better word. Keep in mind Jetblue management can change their "contract" any time they want.

(Fixed the damage quote wrap - - hope you don't mind. ;) )

Contract IS the correct word. It is not a Collective Bargaining Agreement, as we in the industry are used to seeing for pilots. But it IS a contract, a legally binding document, signed by the pilot and by a representative of the Company.

Well, at least the bootleg copy I have of one from September 1999 is.

What we commonly refer to as a Contract is a Collective Bargaining Agreement, and the JetBlue arrangement is NOT one of those. Their contracts are between each INDIVIDUAL pilot and their company. There IS an "I" in their team!

Tony,

Give it a break.. BTW, we all know 135 pilots are the worst in the Air Force. So, please, stop talking like you have some credibility.

Ummmmm,

While we're discussing contract vs. collective bargaining, my copy from Jet Blue is titled "Employment Agreement". FWIW

It could be titled "The way we do things around here, and why we do them, and why we're all happy to be here." In legal parlance, it's a Contract.

If it ain't true, it shouldn't bother you, right?

iflynights must have flown warthogs. THAT makes him the Ace of the Base I guess.

:)

I did not find a change in the vesting schedule, 10% a year for the first five, then 25%. Am I missing something?

iflynights, just curious, did you forget the smiley on the end of your post???

About 25% is correct. I'm still checking to see if that is accurate. I was under the impression that the remaining 50% of options was to be distributed in the 6th year of service.

Pardon my spelling...I got a 2.0 in English 101. (But I had a 5.0 handicap!)

Cheers!

Well, according to the old contract and the new contract, vesting terms are similar. Year one through 5 is 10%, 6 is 25% and 7 is 25%.

Tbags, #$@%**$# :)
