Actually the 747SP can go direct from LEX to Dubai, however they usually stop over in IAD on their way.

Have you noticed how much the price of land from LEX to DVK has gone up in that time frame.

Land is sky high everywhere around here. Seems people have no problem carving up horse farms for houses, but when you need to carve one up for a parallel runway, its a problem, until a certain landowner finally gets permission to build his luxury hotel on one of said historic horse farms where the proposed parallel runway would have been built.....
