Where are new hires currently doing their sims? DEN? IAD?

DEN is coming to an end pretty quick

I did mine in December in IAD

Some in DEN, some in IAD, some in YUL, some in CLT. At least with the latest classes.

Do you guys offer accelerated ground school for the guys from different airlines with CL-65 experience?

I'm pretty sure that we did for some guys that we hired from Indy...but I think that that may have been a special case since there were so many of them....I don't think that we do it on a regular basis

21 out of 24 in my class have 121 experience, half are CL-65 qualified. Everyone is doing the full four weeks of class, but the CL-65 guys get a short course sim (5 days, rather than 10). Originally they were going to get a short class, too, but with training the way it is they just don't have the instructors for it.

We were the latest to get sim schedules, and half are in DEN, the other half in CLT. Looks like it might be that way for awhile, since they've got a contract for the sims in DEN.

Do you know if they are still on track to hire 150 by the end of march? Are they still running two classes a month with ~25 a piece?

The class that started today is only 15, but we're told that's only because they're getting a bottleneck in sim and OE. I think they've lost a fair amount of Check Airmen to attrition.

They say they're still planning on two classes a month, and I'm sure the class that starts 2/20 is a full 24, so hopefully they'll all be.
