I am curious what the pilots are going to get if they win the arbitration that is going on right now over the old contract? Is the old contract expired?

What is going on with the bid for NWA flying?
Are they getting more planes for Us Air? I hear that AWAC is hiring a ton!

props,

Really can't say, But what we are asking for is full retro and original contract back. This will mean about a $6/hr raise for FO's and about $10/hr for CA's.

The old contract was signed on 9/11/01 (yep, you read that right!). Currently it would be open for amendment. So we'll see what happens.

Won't know anything until after Feb 16th at the earliest.

In regards to NWA flying, the company has aready made unofficial comments about how we need to lower our costs further. Don't believe a word of it. They can figure it out, not our problem.

We are hiring a ton for attrition. We are actually a shrinking airline. The final 146s will go away at the end of APR 06.

The next date for our arbitration is Feb 16th. We'll see if it actually happens. Who knows how long it would be for the arbitrator to decide anything. I'm not sure what the law allows for time.

Yes, the old contract would have become ammendable by now.

Who knows what is going on with our bid for NW flying. I can't really believe we would be cheaper than Pinnacle. I just don't see it happening. It's an exercise in futility I think.

We have no announcements for more planes at US Air.

That cover it?

Diver,
Are you going up to ATW to watch the festivities? I was hoping to, but have something a little more important to do that day.

There is no way we are going to get any of the NW flying no matter what mgmt says. We are bidding on it to grow PNCL and Mesaba are bidding on it to stay alive.

You must have a short memory. We were bidding for our lives when United put out a RFP last year. Fat lot of good that did.

I thought the only reason AWAC was even in the running for the NWA flying was becasue they could obtain better financing on the 50 seaters than Pinnalce could.

It won't be until maybe May before we hear anything from the NMB. There is no appeal on the decision by either side so one party is going to have to live with it.

Company did ask the Union for reduced pay from NEW HIRES so they could bid on RFP's out there and they got told NO to a 'B' scale.

Personally I think the company are sweating a little as they already approached the union to try and get an agreement to stop the arbitration process and were told NO.

It's like going all in and waiting to cash in on the river card!!

We're on the B scale now. Anything lower would be a C scale in my opinion.
