Hey fellow AWAC FOs how many numbers did you move up last month? Sept - Oct. I am in PHL and I am fairly sure I bid the exact same number this month as I did last! And people say we have 10+ quiting a month, well I aint buyin it at all. At this rate I will never have a weekend off.

OK did a little research, I have moved exactally 20 since the July bid. I still think there was no change in Sept-Oct though. I gota watch these vacancy notices a little closer I guess.

They are shrinking PHL and building up DCA...I think I moved up 3 spots in PHL from Sept to Oct.

Why not ask this on the Forum?

Weekend off? How long have you been on property again?

I don't think he's on the forum anymore for whatever reason.

I think an important thing to consider is that there is a difference between people quitting and moving up within your position. Maybe 100 people quit, but did so from other positions. It takes the company to issue a vacancy and fill that vacancy if people are quitting from other positions (Captains). If all of the attrition were FO's I'd be concerned.

I would also consider that perhaps the company is purposefully not upgrading right now while they wait to see the answer of the various RFPs they are dangling in front of us.

Weekends what are those??

Since the 'good' bases closed and we went out east those are a thing of the past even if you are in the top 1/4 of the list so get used to it!!

How is the commute from the midwest out east?

How many total pilot does AWAC have?
When will you know more about the midwest flying?
Would a Milwaukee or KC crew base go junior for F.O's?
Just curious thanks for the help.

Totally depends on where you are coming from and how many flights a day there are to PHL & DCA.

How many total pilot does AWAC have?
About 800

When will you know more about the midwest flying?
Rumored to know if we got it or not by the end of the month; who knows...

MKE would go so senior for FOs that junior CAs have said they will take downgrades to hold it if they had to. A MCI base would be somewhat senior, as it'd be an easier commute from DEN & points west, and others in the midwest might bid it to avoid the east coast.
