As an ATA pilot on the lower third of the seniority list I am closely following developments and wondering:

Does AWA have pilots on furlough - if not were pilots furloughed post 9/11?

Is AWA hiring pilots now? If so how many projected?

What are competitive qualifications?

Thanks

A quick search of this site will reveal all you need to know. To summarize: we're hiring as many as our training center can handle, around 20/month, for the forseeable future. 21 Airbusses start deliveries in January. Competitive times are several thousand hours of Part 121 flying and an internal recommendation. Furloughees were all recalled over a year ago. Good luck to you.
