AWA app to phone call

I turned my app in about 7 weeks ago and I was wondering if anybody knew how long the wait typically is these days? Also, has anyone heard of Cactus hiring low-timers recently?

yeah I do have an internal rec but only from one AWA pilot. He walked my resume in and about a week later they sent me an app in the mail. Filled it out, sent the 50 bucks and have been waiting ever since. The app stated that they process them in order of reciept. Is that incorrect? Does it help to have your internal connection check up on your status??

It definitely helps to have your contact go in and talk you up. I was called to come interview around two weeks after sending in my app. in late February. I may have just been lucky, though.
