They are actually operating a 900C/900EX and a SK76.

Ah, thats right.. I ran into one of their crews in PANC last year on our way to Asia...

Whenever I see a Falcon 900C I just scratch my head... and wonder "Why?"

This is just a formality. The jobs will be filled by the Lucent pilots. Lucent recently sold one of their 2 G4's.

Avaya is a Lucent spin off.

Those poor Avaya guys! They are going to have to listen to the incessant whining of the Gulfstream Guys saying "Thats not how we did it in the Gulfstream" or "The Gulfstream didn't do this" or "The Gulfstream yada, yada, yada..."

Check nameplate entering cockpit "Dassault Falcon Jet". This ain't your daddy's gulfstream, get over it! ;) :D :)

Falcon Capt. Go ahead, Poke the Bear!!!!!

Glad to see your still having fun with the G-String drivers!:p :D

Besides, I thought this thread could use a shot of a decent Avatar. And you won't find her in a Gulfstream.

I know, I know, I can feel the flames cooking at my feet already.

I agree that this ad is a formality. What I don't understand is why they would go to a national website. They would satisfy any conceivable HR requirement by posting on the Company intranet site inside the firewall and avoid having to wade their way through three dumpsters' worth of outsider resumes.

Would you expect anything less??? :D :D ;) ;) :p :p

Didn't you guys just hire a Lucent guy too?

The 2000 was a sweeeet ride. BUR to HPN on under 10,000#, 1/2 of what my G4 burns. A little under powered in the mid 20's with wing A/I on. I am sure that the EX will solve that. It may put a nail in the 50EX's coffin.

Speaking of which, I am considering a job that would have me flying a 50EX. Never having flown the 50, can anyone compare to the 2000 for me?

Lucent was a spin off of AT&T.

I know in the not so recent past Lucent had both G-IV's and Falcon 50's. I also believe they had at least one Falcon 2000 as well. It's been a while.

I believe that Avaya got the 900C because it the aircraft was available on very short notice and they didn't want to wait a year or more for another 900EX.

I agree completely... I have heard rumors Dassault is considering discontinuing the 50EX.

The 50EX has much better runway numbers than the 2000. It also has much better second segment climb. The obvious downside is the 50EX cabin is smaller than the 2000.

What else would you like to know? I have about 1,800 hours in a 50EX and would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
