Well, almost six months on the job now. No complaints. Not getting as much overtime as I'd like, but I guess that I can't really call that a valid complaint.

Hey Brian-thanks for releasing me from "FNG-status". Knew I'd have to start flying the pax legs sooner or later! Enjoy your three weeks... how are you ever going to find anything to do with all that snow up there?!?!?!

I just got a new sled! 140+HP on a 450lb frame!

Sweeeeeeet. When I'm up in Augusta I'll have to take it for a test ride...

What is also sweet is the weight room, hot tub, and heated pool at the Marriott here in Toledo. And a some free time to use them before a late departure tonight. This is what "required rest" is all about!

Seriously! :D

*notice: the lack of complaint in reference to the late departure. Starting to get a feel for Fractional life, and for working at Avantair?

Flybait3 also has his training time off by 2 – 3 weeks. Initial training is 21 - 22 days start to finish including travel. Hotel room (no sharing), and transportation are furnished. Per diem check is issued at the conclusion of training.

Sorry to get back to the same issue, but I am down here at FSI in Houston and I have just confirmed that the Avanti training at FSI West Palm Beach is only 10 days for initial, and 4 days for recurrent. If you add 10 days for basic indoc, there you have the 21-22 days RollandPull is talking about.

Thanks.

Oh ok, It was longer back in the day when you did your training in the aircraft and they didn't have the sims.

flybet3, how was the training longer? Due to the hours spent in the AC or the lack of P180s to to get you efficiently through training?

Well I remember ground school being around 3 weeks and it took about 2 weeks to do aircraft training b/c airplanes were always broken, or there were no airplanes to train in. So 5 weeks. I know there were guys in other classes that were actually sent home for a week or two and then came back to finish up. Like I said, back in the day.

Flybet, You must have been a "special" case. One week of indoc, one week of systems and one week of flight training in the plane was what they planned for when I started.

You said it yourself "WHAT THE PLANNED"
