It's greek letters, some gay service fraternity, i meant to say 350 total in other post, fortunately most people with a level head stayed away from it, like i said before theyre the ones that worry about every thing but getting flight experience, what little real world flying you can get out of there, time is better spent at the ocean deck and the other bars, chasing tail on the beach on the beach, like what the others said, thats real world experience, not bowling and organizing plane pulls and bake sales.
 
I have friends that went to riddle they ALL hate to admit it. It was a sausage fest from what I understand. I remember walking into a ground school of new hires once. There was a guy sitting there on the second day of class and was wearing a Riddle ring hat and shirt. I think he wanted everyone to know that he was the real top gun. How F'n dorky! I went to state college and got my degree in Business. I guess Im just dumb. If I was smart I would have went to riddle got my degree in aero science and paid 150 grand. Man dont lose an eye or something. I kinda feel bad cause I didnt have the chance to take showers with other male cadets and talk about flying cuddled up with my roomates on the sofa while gazing at all the top gun posters and sectionals on the walls. 4 years of male aviation bonding would have done me good. Imagine the stories I would have been able to share with my captain in the cockpit on long flights. Sharing a beach towel on the beach with other freshman watching the shuttle launch at would have been priceless. Going to ERAU games and after sharing a smoothy with my fav fly guy, putting my flight suit and going to bars, watching Martha King videos on those chilly nights.......

Okay where is a sledge hammer so I can bash my own face in. Even joking about it gave me nausea. I feel unclean.....
 
When you're in daytona you have to think outside the box so to speak, there is the dweebs that wasted cash on the rings, jacktes, hats etc but thats a big stereotype. Look at the tools that come out of regional airline academy and delta connection academy, they have leather jacktes with their school symbol stamped on them, gay fanny packs with their schools symbols on them carrying an extra emergency log book, batteries, who knows what else, condoms for easy cleanup in the plane when theyre alone, little molestor mustaches combovers and aviator glasse, very viper-esque from top gun (yeah I quoted it). Being in Daytona if you wanted to get ass you had to think outside the box, kind of like flying freight and not following in every other aviation academy tools footsteps and flying at a regional with 300 hours and still not being able to talk on the radios. You had to get to molly browns, lollipops, the pink pony, tell those dancing girls all the things they wanted to hear, or pick up a nice local girl and make her family proud, she's got her ticket out of the dirty D as long as shes got you. The spring breaks in the area you couldn't complain about either, yeah theres the frat fags screaming spring break 2003 baby wooooo every 5 second jumping around but there always seemed to be enough drunk ass chicks to go around for a few nights, gets you ready for a miami lifetstyle if you can ever make any cash and get down there and experience those parties.
 
If you bought a class ring from Riddle, you're the sterotype homo. Personally I had a blast in Daytona, but was happy to leave. And all the guys bitching about the lack of ass... I never had a problem, went through several g/f's and spring breakers (a week), and can't complain. A turd is the same color no matter what town it's in. If you couldn't get ass in Daytona, chances are you had no game and being some where else wasn't going to increase your odds any.

And the guy in class with the riddle garb on, I hope you guys ridiculed him mercilously, because I would have, and we did even when I was at school there. The only thing worse were the ROTC queers that actually wore flight suits. I had a student show up with one on, I told him if he ever did it again I was cx'ing the flight and no showing him.

If that's all you were doing as an instructor, you have bigger problems and sucked at your job. I haven't touched anything with an "N" number on it in probably 6 years, but I still have my CFII because I loved instructing.

I thought the AF cadets HAVE to wear those flightsuits?

Anyway, the stereotyping blows. I don't want to be looked down upon at an interview, or in the cockpit because of where I went to school, regardless of my attitude. Anytime the "Oh, you go to Riddle?" thing comes up, I feel like I have to respond with "Yeah, but I'm a Safety Science major and I don't fly on campus so that maybe, just maybe there is a chance they don't pin that stigma on me...Anyway, maybe I'll buy some Rutgers shirts and pretend I went there....

Cuddling up on the beach with a wine cooler and my fav fly guy and watching a shuttle launch is my favorite thing to do!
 
I agree whole hartedly, with what you guys have been saying. There is ****************************** bags everywhere, riddle does have an overabundance of them, and big props to you for saying that about the rotc guys there. I imagine the military flying and life you are experienceing is totally different than the way the rotc thing is at riddle, not really my beef so I'm not going to elaborate other than they did act like fools. My friends and I never had any problems there picking up girls, just don't get sucked into on campus activities like aoa and the flight team that claim they are going to help further your career. The free flighttime is worthless, yeah guys I logged like 150 hours this year practicing the bomb drop and aircraft recognition, I'll be flying that jet before you know it!!
