Just got word that ex-Chicken Driver and Pace Captain Don Norton passed away this morning and took his final trip westbound. If anyone has details on funeral arrangements please pass it on here

thanks

Oh no, that's really sad. Don did my checkride on the Dash 8. I flew with him numerous times online as well. He was alot of fun to fly.

Don Norton a.k.a #1 1947-2007 R.I.P.

Quinn Sipe a.k.a. Harley 1969-2004? R.I.P.

when and if you start the Chicken Alumni website, a remembrance of our lost Brothers and Sisters should be included there as well.

#1 and Harley, 2 of the best pilots you'd ever know Vio Con Dios my bros! See ya again someday

I am in the process of setting up a CCAIR Alumni site, and yes, We will never forget #1 or Harley.I flew with both! Harley was a total trip, did an excellent Butthead impersonation.

I'll never forget the time I was Deadheading to AGS and had to sit in the Jumpseat of the Dash. #1 was giving IOE to some idiot. He was overtemping one of the engines, and #1's subtle hints were amusing, first he's pretending he was sweating and put his hands by the overtemping gauge. Then when the IOE student didn't get the message, #1 took his checklist and was fanning the gauge with it. When the IOE student asked why he was doing that, #1 said trying to cool it down.

You always knew when Don was flying b/c as soon as the mains were on and the nose was about to settle on his window would be open and he's be lighting one up!

He was a great guy and he'll be missed.

I flew with him at Pace, too.

There are names from the past, too. Anyone know how they're all doing?
