looking at the correct credentials of a UAL
jumpseater. License, medical. I didn't think
much of it since this person had jumped with
me before. Till I found out the worm was my
F/O.

According to my latest ALPA jumpseat handbook, a medical is not required to jumpseat. Just an ID and pilot certificate. I always make sure to offer those two w/o asking, and I'll hand over the medical if they want to see it. Please don't turn into one of those guys who wants to see everything in my wallet. Just have a civil conversation with Mr. anal-retentive F/O.
