I took my ATP written late last year and start training at a regional next week. How can I make sure my ATP test date gets locked in 'till I take the ride?

Thanks,
ceo.

Don't worry about it. As long as you take your ATP checkride at at that company it wil never expire. Even if you don't upgrade till 5 years from now. As long as you were continously employed by that SAME company.

If you quit/get furlughed/fired and start somwhere else more than 2 years after you took the test, you will have to re take it.

....

ceo,

how many of you are in this new class they have starting soon?
keep us pdt'ers posted on what kinda stuff their telling you up there, because they sure dont tell us much. im interested to know. and make sure you can explain and use in practical examples exemption 3585 on the first day of ground school, there gonna do on the spot stand ups in front of everyone to see if youve been studying, kinda like they do in the military. and the free passes to the titty bar are behind the front desk at the CLT ramada, just ask for em.

Don't forget everything needed for a 6/6/6 rvr takeoff vs. a 1000/1000 rvr takeoff. Make sure you know op spec c55. You know, the one about how to derive alternate minimums, 400/1 or 200/ 1/2. Make sure you know this cold on day 1 and everything else will be gravy.
