Hello everyone,

I have been sending off my stuff to Atlas and Polar. I recently found out that they will be doing a fair amount of interviewing in the near future. Can anyone give me the scoop on the two carriers with respect to:

Scheduling
Days off
Commuting
Typical trips
Domiciles
Upgrade time
ETC, ETC, ETC

Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it.

Atlas Air Hiring

We have been doing a lot of interviewing lately, and have guys going through initial ground school as we speak, look under the Cargo forum for more info on Atlas / Polar.

This thread should be under cargo, but I wanted to tack on that I chatted with a Atlas crew in Kyrga-perblekistan a couple weeks ago, and they mentioned a few high points:

1) Trips are 18 days a months straight, involuntarily extendible to 22 days

2) You get good overtime pay if you get extended.

3) Pay was decent for FOs. Don't remember the numbers, you can get correct ones pretty easily and I don't wanna lie.

4) They said upgrade was 7-8 years.

5) Seems like they really liked their jobs.

If any of that is incorrect, feel free to correct me. Just passing along info.
