Wondering if any Atlas guys who are also mil reservists can chime in on how accomodating they are? For example, if you drill 5 days a month, can those days shorten your 17 day Atlas trip or would those drill days be on your days off?

Thanks

I'm on mil leave as we type. Atlas has been very understanding and accomodating on my activation. I hope to be returning with a few months. However, when I was a drilling reservist, I always bid my days off around drill or drilled and did AFTP's when I had days off. I've never gone on mil leave for drill or AFTP's, so I can't tell you if that works. Maybe someone else can.

I haven't made a decision if I am going to go Retired Reserve or stay on another year-and-a-half as a drilling Reservist. I think I am ready to just have one job to think about and retire from the Reserve. My fun meter is pegged-out. I'm ready to get back to Atlas and enjoy the next 6 1/2 years that I can.

Most months I drill during my 17 days, I have never heard a word from the company about it. They just prorate your pay depending on how many days you work.
