I know this has been covered before, but I can't find very specific info. I am interested in a typical schedule and how long it takes to bid off of Stansted. Also, what is the normal schedule in Stansted if I were to move there while being based there. My goal is to eventually move to MIA. What are schedules like there too. Any other info would be appreciated also. Thank you very much.

Bidding off STN might not be an easy task, due to the fact that it's our junior base and commuting there is not all that desireable. The normal schedule consists of flying out of Europe to the Middle East, India ,and Asia. MIA schedules are primarily for Lan Chile, and we usually go to BOG, UIO, VCP, and SCL, all the MIA flying is on the -200. I hope this info was helpful.

Atlas & United .............. Rumors

First it was UPS, then FedEx, now I'm hearing that Atlas and United might be looking at some sort of ACMI contract. United has expressed an interest in getting back into the cargo arena again, and probably compete with likes of NWA cargo.

Anybody out there heard anything like this?

Happy Holidays!

How about the schedules? Are they week on week off? If you live in the base, like stn, are there 3 or 4 day trips? Also, is it possible to be based back in the states in a year or so? How long does it take to get MIA? Thanks again.

Have you applied to UPS? They have a MIA domicile and it's very junior, so junior in fact that next year when most of the ROPES finally retire and they have to hire into the right seat, there is a very good chance of a new hire getting MIA right off the bat.

United was working a deal for us to start their cargo back up for them.

A UAL pilot in my unit says that their MEC had agreed to this, but has since pulled out of the agreement.

I'm still looking for Atlas info if anyone has some. Thank you.
yeah...that would be nice...I was waiting as well, but it seems nobody wants to answer for us "wannabes".

I had a question: would Atlas hire pilots that don't have the 1000 turbine pic? I know that Gemini is hiring F/O's from the regionals. I could go to Stanstead ASAP, so I figured I have a chance with Atlas.
