Yes, I do get it. Considering that I WAS the original post which you are referring to. But in this post of mine you are quoting, I was responding to Dumb Pilot's remarks after what I said when I used the word 'metric.' However, I understood that he was being sarcastic. And he didn't even use a winky face!!!

Sorry guys, but this is EXACTLY the reason you aren't being hired. Metric arguments? You have no personality. You are left brain gay. No one wants to be locked in a cockpit with a complete dick for hours. You are are all left brained "nerds." You don't know it all. You will never know it all. Sorry, but your calculus teacher really should have let you know that you will fail in every endeavor in life that doesn't involve math. Partly because you haven't bothered to engage your "right brain" You can study until your ears bleed and the only way you will learn to fly a large jet plane is by sitting next to a man with gray hair who laughs his a$$ off at you the whole time. If you even get that chance.
Pilots are a funny group, and they know their own instinctively. The stuff I just read here makes me cringe from you. You guys need a pilot life coach or something. Jeez.

Well put. I stopped by for a bit because they gave me a free pass and grab a beer or eleven with a friend afterwords. As I text a buddy of mine, "Probably the largest gathering of geeks this side of dragonfest." It was pathetic.
Saw some lady praying on the nieve with a "fast track" to the majors by paying to sit in the right seat of some POS. Somehow I caught her saying there is some 3rd "mentor pilot" who watches and logs time? How the blank does that work? They may have found some way around the regs with it but doesn't mean it's right.
