You are right about the flying. I did have fun, went to some places that otherwise I'd never go. Gained experience that otherwise I'd probable never get. I was given the opurtinuty to get a type rating that many don't and will never have, and I took it.
If someone will look at it as a stepping stone and not a career move, unless they are close to retirement, furloughed from somewhere else, or really don't care then just like nike says "JUST DO IT" Hopefully the good will overcome the bad. Management will wake up, mini B will get his nose out of big B's butt and start acting like a good cp and not the ^*^*&^*# that he has become.

There ya go! It wasn't that hard, now, was it? Seriously, thanks!

I like your positive outlook. folks like you will be happy in life and get what you deserve. The others are just miserable. Safe flying and good fortune to you guys.

ATI still has a better payscale than Connie's new contract. Good luck to you guys hope everything works out.

Thanks, guys. From what I've seen, Kalitta's new CBA appears to have better starting pay, and tops out higher, but over a much longer time. Don't know how it fares in the middle. Our scale only goes to 12 years for now, and we've got a number of guys who have been here longer, i.e, no raises for them anymore. Their medical premiums are much better, too, but no idea what the coverage is like.

Your 5/10 year pay is 131/154 where Connie's new scale is 117/134 so we have and seemingly always will be behind ATI. I think the situation was reversed on the 90's. The new cba did get rid of the s/o payscale which honestly was ridiculous and probably kept some good fe's away.

Any new info on DHL flying? I heard that was a possibility a while back but went away.-kingaira90

I could be wrong about the numbers. I was under the impression that the guarantee was 62 hours per bid unit (ours is only 56), and when multiplied by the pay rates, Kalitta came out ahead, but I've only seen second hand info.

The only DHL flying I'm aware of that we've done was a short term auto parts charter that ended on schedule. Not that we're hoping for something to come along with/for them! :D

Well, ATI has been a good home and I hope it will continue to be. I also got a type and experience that I would have never had a chance to get flying Barbie jets (not putting rj drivers down). But management needs to wake up. I think while Minie B has the right idea at times, he is tied way too hard to big B. His lack of experience on what ATI is all about comes out every once in a while. I heard he made a comment to a check airman saying, "There is no difference in a 4 hour flight between TOL-LAX or Dakar, African to Nigeria." That goes to show you sometimes he has no clue! The EXCO is working hard at trying to get us a fair contract. Right now ATI is like a sailboat with no wind. Others like to call it, "The incredible shrinking airline." During a time when most places are acquiring airplanes and growing, ATI has managed to shrink.
